    about the artist

Born in the Donau city of Günzburg and artistically active for over 20 years, Silke processes the urges, fears, passions and conflicts of people, animals and nature in her works.

After moving to Munich, where she lives and works to this day, there were many new development opportunities for Silke: Numerous studies, including nude painting, street art (at CODEAK), visiting the Colori painting school with Petra habenstein and last but not least one Psychological training led to her expressive imagery, in which she applies countless layers of paint on top of one another, combines a wide variety of materials and brings everyday found objects to new life.

Her "colljects", as she calls her works, are special: objects on stretcher frames, held in place with acrylic paint using a spatula technique, dripping and spray.

    Silke lives her pictures.

This has been directly noticeable to the viewer in solo and group exhibitions since 2013.
